Strengthening the Alabama Chapter of the Sierra Club
Why This Petition Matters
Sierrans for Alabama is calling for a General Membership Meeting of the Sierra Club’s Alabama Chapter. Our goal is to foster greater transparency, democracy, and advocacy within the Chapter.
We are requesting that the Executive Committee convene this meeting under Bylaw 2.2 to discuss critical issues such as:

Ensuring open meetings and democratic participation.

Improving communication and accessibility within the Chapter.

Strengthening volunteer recruitment and leadership development.

Ensuring active and transparent committees.

Establishing campaigns to support clean waterways, healthy communities, preservation of habitats, and sustainable development.

Advocating for minimum staffing requirements for effective state-level advocacy.
